Once you have agreed the contents of your technology escrow account, the corresponding intellectual property needs to be deposited into the escrow account.
There are two options for depositing:
1) Physical vaulting
Physical vaulting means the software licensor sends a copy of the source code on a physical storage device (e.g. disk, USB drive) to be held at a secure Iron Mountain facility. Physical deposits benefit from security measures at the facility, including swipe-card access and CCTV.
2) Electronic depositing
Electronic deposits are deposited online and placed on our secure FTP site. Electronic depositing means that:
- You can update your account at any time
- You reduce packaging, shipping costs and complications
- You have immediate confirmation that your deposits have been received
Your deposits are then securely stored by Iron Mountain.
